Brass and silver deck chronometer by Ulysse Nardin
–
A Swiss brass and silver high-precision military deck chronometer in a mahogany box with military markings, circa 1942. The watch features a brass case that is securely fixed and screwed, housing a pocket watch with a silver case that is also securely screwed, and back with British military marking. It is marked with a Ulysse Nardin case punch and a unique serial number. The precision of the timepiece is attributed to the calibre with Guillaume balance and a fine adjusting device. The enamel dial is elegantly signed and showcases Roman radial hours, an outer minutes/seconds track with Arabic numerals for five-minute/second intervals, a subsidiary dial for the seconds, centre seconds, and hands made of blued steel. The original mahogany box is numbered and bears military markings. Inside, you will find the original label from the Ministry of Defence Hydrographic Department with the reference number H.S.
