Gold open faced cylinder watch

A very fine and thin French 20 carat gold pocket watch, circa 1828. Sold to Capitaine Baudon on November 18th, 1828. Accompanied by a Breguet box, a Breguet extract from the archives and a winding key. A guilloché enamel back cover and band, gold hinged cuvette with winding and regulating apertures. Silver dial, Roman chapters, outer dot minute divisions, guilloché enamel centre and blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass movement, bridge calibre, ruby cylinder escapement, plain, three arm balance with parechute on the top pivot, with blued steel flat balance spring, escapement jewelled. Signed on the dial and cuvette, movement numbered on the pillar plate under the dial.
