An interesting and unusual Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced digital jumping hour lever pocket watch, circa 1908. Delivered to Cigarillos Excelsior for the South American market. Bridge movement, Patent Swiss 27838, a club tooth lever escapement and monometallic gold screw balance. Gilt, engine-turned dial with an aperture for the hours and a retrograde minute hand. A frosted case, monogrammed on the back, maker’s mark GLM for Gabriel Lopez Mantaras. Dial signed Cigarillos Excelsior, cuvette signed Recuerdo de Courvoisier Frères 1908, case and movement numbered.
