Gold key wind pocket watch

A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced key wind pocket watch, made by Patek Philippe & Co in Geneva, circa 1908. This watch features a gilt movement with lever escapement, a compensated balance, and a blued steel Breguet balance spring. The white enamel dial displays Arabic numerals for hours, an outer railway minute track with red Arabic numerals at five minute intervals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and Louis XV style hands. The case has a smooth back and a gold cuvette engraved with J. Crespon, August 29, 1908. The case is numbered. The dial, case, cuvette, and movement are all signed by Patek Philippe.

There is a minor chip on the dial enamel between 7 and 8 o’clock, a small chip on the case back at 2 o’clock, and microscratches from use. Some parts may have been replaced during earlier repairs or restorations.
