A rare and interesting English 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating calendar pocket watch, circa 1830. Gilt movement with circular cut out for the large cut and compensated balance wheel, cylinder escapement, polished steel repeat and work on the top plate, repeat activated via the push pendant.
Gilt dial with Roman numerals and signed Viner London, three large subsidiary dials for Day, Date and running seconds, blued steel moon hands.
Large 18 carat gold case with a floral engraved band and engine-turned hinged back, floral engraved stem and bow.
