Large French silver open faced key wound pocket watch with calendar, circa 1880. The movement with a verge escapement. Off-white enamel dial, outermost minute divisions with quarter hour numerals, the date at 9 o’clock, the days of the week in German at 3, small indication of time with radial Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track with 15 minutes and moon hands at 6, in the upper half a coat of arms depicting a double headed eagle with a crown above. A decorative case.
