Fine and rare open faced, round-shaped, keyless-winding, Swiss pocket watch with high-frequency split-seconds chronograph and minute recorder, circa 1930-1940.
Gilt brass movement, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, high-frequency monometallic balance, self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, split-seconds chronograph with visible work, released by depressing the winding crown and with push-piece in the band for the split-seconds White enamel dial with bold black Arabic numerals, outer Arabic seconds track with red numerals 30-60, an outermost fifth of a second chronograph track with numerals 1-30, subsidiary 30-seconds and instantaneous 30-minute register, original blued steel pear hands. Nickel cuvette. Massive case, polished. Dial and movement signed, case and movement numbered.
