A Swiss silver hunting cased pocket watch, presented to the American minister to China, Hon Frederick Ferdinand Low, circa 1870. Gilt full plate lever movement, balance cock engraved with a pagoda motif. Nickel cuvette. White enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands and outer minute ring. Engine turned case with plaque design, shell motif to the rear cover. Dial signed.
