An American 18 carat rose gold open faced split second chronograph keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1890. Nickel finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance. White enamel dial with Roman numerals with outer ring calibrated for Arabic five minute division, sub seconds and blued steel spade hands. Plain case, hinged gold cuvette, split chronograph mechanism operated by one button in the band and through the crown, locking bolt at 11 o’clock. Case, dial and movement signed.
