A French two colour gold and diamond set open faced repeating a toc watch with chatelaine, circa 1780. Gilt full plate movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge. White enamel dial. Arabic and Roman numerals and outer minute track. Fine polychrome enamel to the back depicting a lady spinning wool, both bezels decorated with green gold and highlighted with diamonds. Associated chatelaine with four enamel scenes depicting women. Dial signed, case maker’s mark ‘GM’.
