A fine French gold keyless hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch with jaquemart forgerons automaton, circa 1890. Nickel lever movement, 32 jewels, cut bimetallic compensation balance. White enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals, outer minute track, blued steel spade hands, in the centre two jaquemart automaton forging during repeating on a blued steel ground. Case with finely engraved covers, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band, band in a repeated pattern, transparent gold hinged engraved cuvette. Case and cuvette numbered 15779, cuvette signed.
