A rare English gold and enamel pearl set pocket watch for the Chinese market, circa 1818. Gilt full plate movement, finely pierced and engraved balance cock, four arm balance, regulator index. Gilt dust cap. White enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer track for minute indication and subsidiary seconds. 18 Carat gold case with engine turned band, split pearl set bezels and pendant bow, back panel with fine painted summer flowers over an orange translucent enamel engine turned sunburst with mauve enamel border. Dial and movement signed and numbered.
