A Swiss 18-carat gold, enamel, and diamond-set hunting cased key wound lever pendant watch made for Hayden and Whilden, Charleston, South Carolina, circa 1859. Gilt finished lever movement, monometallic compensation balance. Engraved cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Case with translucent red enamel over guilloché backgrounds, diamonds set to the front cover. Cuvette signed and numbered, case numbered and with case makers stamp LO.
