A rare French gold oignon verge watch with alarm and mock pendulum, circa 1690. Full plate gilt finished verge movement, chain fusée, engraved balance bridge with aperture revealing the mock pendulum, pierced Egyptian pillars. Later gilt engraved dial, engraved center with horse and riders and center alarm hand, inner month ring in English, middle Zodiac ring and outer hour ring with Arabic numerals, single hour hand. Plain case, movement signed.
