A miniature rock crystal crucifix pendant watch, probably South German, circa 1700. A rock crystal case, gilt mountings, early verge movement with fragments of a stackfreed (incomplete), splendidly engraved dial with silver hour ring and presumably original hands, unsigned, not.

The watch is very similar to a well-known early crucifix pendant watch, signed Nicolaus Schmidt Augsburg and almost identical. We assume that this watch may be a true-to-original replica of this Augsburg Renaissance watch, but from the time around 1700!
