Rare gold English minute repeating chronograph Circa 1866

A rare English minute repeating chronograph with regulator dial by Nicole Nielsen in a gold full hunter case, hallmarked London circa 1866. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with steel Nicole patent winding work. Center seconds flyback chronograph and minute repeating work under the dial. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with end stones. Slide minute repeating on two polished steel gongs. Signed white enamel regulator dial, subsidiary for the hours at three o’clock in Roman numerals. The minutes and center seconds flyback chronograph are shown around the edge in Arabic numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 18 Carat full hunter case, clip on gold back, recessed gold slide and chronograph button in the band. Maker’s mark ‘AN’ in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement. Red Morocco presentation case lined in red velvet signed for ‘Henry Capt’.
