The European Watch and Clock Co. Incorporated, French-Swiss watch manufacturer
The European Watch and Clock Co. Incorporated began in the 1920s as a joint venture between Cartier and Edmond Jaeger from the Jaeger-LeCoultre watch factory. Although Cartier continued to work with other movement manufacturers such as Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet and Movado, many of their top items featured European Watch & Clock Company movements made at the Jaeger-LeCoultre facility in Le Sentier, Switzerland. The watch cases were manufactured in Paris, Geneva, London and New York and each branch was responsible for producing their own wristwatches. However, the French branch exported its watches to other stores.
