A splendid and heavy Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel two-train winding quarter repeating musical pocket watch, circa 1820. Very fine frosted gilt full plate cylinder musical movement, plain three-arm balance and flat blued balance spring, gilt engraved balance cock with polished steel coqueret.
Gold dial with Arabic numerals on white enamel square chapters, outer gold minute-ring, the centre with a finely painted enamel scene of a maiden and a man playing the flute in a garden, gold hands.
Repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Cylinder musical train playing on the hour.
Guilloché case back with small monogram surrounded by foliate, gilt spring loaded cuvette with two winding apertures.
