–
A fine and historically significant Russian 14 carat gold full hunter Imperial presentation pocket watch with original presentation box made by Paul Buhré (Pavel Buhre), Supplier to the Imperial Court, dated September 7, 1912. It has a mechanical manual winding movement with a lever escapement, protected under a solid 14 carat gold inner cuvette, finely engraved in French: Don de S.A.I. le Gd duc Nicolas de Russie, 7B 1912, alongside the official Supplier to the Imperial Court signature and serial number. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals 5 to 60, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold hands, signed in Cyrillic Павелъ Буре (Pavel Buhre).
–
The timepiece is housed in a smooth, round, 14 carat solid yellow gold full hunter case with an applied Imperial cipher/monogram of Grand Duke Nicholas Nikolaevich surmounted by the Imperial Crown on the front cover, a plain polished reverse back cover, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy suspension bow. The watch is presented in its original fitted red leather presentation case lined in silk and velvet, gold stamped with the Russian Imperial double headed eagle warrant and retailer addresses in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
