An unusual German 18 carat gold and pearl set glazed commemorative full hunter watch, circa 1881. Gilt three quarter plate movement, 2nd quality with ruby endstone, bimetallic compensation balance, with gold lever escapement. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial, blue enamel Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds. Louis XV style case, the bezels set with seed pearls, back panel fitted with a medallion commemorating chased with the profile of Carl Prinz Von Preussen and the date 29 June 1801, the interior with his arms and the date 29 Jun 1881, crown form pendant, the band further set with seed pearls and red stones. Movement signed.
