A Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1857. 17”’ nickel lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, repeating on gongs. Engraved gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Roman numerals and eccentric subsidiary seconds. Engine turned case with polished cartouche to the centre, repeat slide to the band. Cuvette signed and numbered. With an extract from the archives confirming sale in 1859.
