Fine French gold open faced quarter repeater Circa 1819

A fine French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1819. Gilt finished ruby cylinder movement, three arm plain balance with parachute on the top pivot, quarter repeating on a hammer on to a gong, repeat activated through a pull twist push piece in the band. Gold cuvette. Silver engine turned dial, outer polished chapter ring with Roman numerals. Polished case. Dial and cuvette signed, cuvette and case numbered. With a Breguet certificate dated 1st March 1975, stating the watch was sold to Monsieur Labranche in 1819 for 2200 francs.
