The Tavannes Watch Company was founded in 1891 by watchmaker Henri-Frédéric Sandoz in the Swiss village of Tavannes. The company became a global success, selling watches worldwide and growing to become the fourth largest watch manufacturer in the world by 1938. After a decline in the 1960’s, production ceased, but the brand was revived in 2008 and the Tavannes Watch Company continues to operate today, building on its long history of watchmaking innovation.
