Gold large full hunter cased watch
–
A large full hunter cased pocket watch in chronometer quality, probably made by Jules Schmoll in Corgémont, Switzerland, circa 1920. This watch features a numbered case with three lids, all crafted from 14 carat gold. Both sides are sunray engine turned with a vacant cartouche in the lower part on the front. The cuvette is inscribed Spiral Breguet Ancre 15 Rubis Corgémont Watch. The gilt dial is engraved with a diamond pattern and features applied Breguet hours, an outer minute track with red Arabic 24 hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gilt Breguet hands. The numbered nickel plated movement has a lever escapement and a fine adjusting device.
The dial and cuvette are signed.
