An attractive French, 18 carat gold, painted enamel and pearl set pendant watch, circa 1890. The front cover decorated with the portrait of a lady on a translucent red enamel over wavy engine turned ground in a rural landscape, split pearl set bezels and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five minute Arabic markers and gold hands. Frosted gilt movement, 13 jewels, calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
