A fine Swiss 14K gold keyless pocket watch, circa 1920. A polished case back with an engraved initial monogram. White enamel dial with black painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track graduation with 5-minute/seconds Arabic markers, subsidiary seconds dial and gold Louis hands. Nickel movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed J.E. Caldwell & Co. and Vacheron Constantin.
