Gold savonnette lever watch

A Swiss 14 carat yellow gold hunting cased (savonnette) pocket watch, made by Rocail, circa 1900-1920. This watch features a hand wound mechanical movement with lever escapement. The movement is not running. The silvered dial displays Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and pear shaped hands in yellow gold. The round 14 carat yellow gold case features a smooth polished bezel and a plain smooth case back, fitted with a metal suspension ring for attachment to a chain or fob. The watch is fitted with a yellow gold cuvette in 14 carat gold. The case and cuvette are numbered.
