–
An important set of three perfume flask form watches with suspension chain, possibly made by Piguet & Capt in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1810. The flasks are crafted from 18 carat gold and enamel, the multi coloured enamel work is of the highest quality, the front and back each with two paintings, the upper paintings show floral motifs and the lower paintings a sculpture, further triple original turquoise setting, lateral a tiny opening button which releases the spring lid mechanism and opens the concealed watch with separate white enamel dials for the time indication and subsidiary seconds, both with Arabic numerals. The movement has a cylinder escapement.

The pieces presented here are of museum quality. These form watches are among the most valuable Geneva enamel items made by Piguet & Capt. Only a few of these precious objects have survived and are known today. A comparable flask was auctioned in Geneva in 2005 and sold for CHF 92.000, and another example was sold in 2000 with an estimated price of CHF 140.000. All three examples have the same design and come from the same manufacturer.
