Enamelled gold jumping hour cylinder watch

A rare Lépine pocket watch with jumping hour and original key made by Moynier & Fils in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1830. The numbered open faced and super thin case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and is completely enamelled, as are the pendant and bow. The engine turned dial has a decentral, brushed minute ring with Arabic quarter hour numerals and a gold minute hand, a window for the jumping hours at 12 o’clock and subsidiary seconds at 6. The movement has a cylinder escapement.
The cuvette is numbered and signed.
