–
An extremely rare hunting cased split seconds chronograph with a special calibre and an extract from the archives made by Vacheron & Constantin in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1911. The numbered case of this watch, which was crafted from 18 carat gold, has a monogram on the front and a plain back lid. The white enamel dial has Roman hours, outer minute divisions with Arabic five minute numerals, an outermost fifth of a second track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, 30 minute counter at 12 and blued steel hands. The numbered movement has caliber RA 19/20”, a lever escapement, large gold screw chronometer balance, fine adjusting device and a very fine split seconds chronograph. The dial, cuvette and movement are signed.
