–
A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced cylinder pocket watch in engine turned case, probably by Breguet, circa 1830. This watch features a gilded movement with a cylinder escapement and a plain three arm brass balance equipped with parachute suspension and a compensation curb. It has a gold engine turned dial with Roman numerals, an outer minute ring, and an eccentric subsidiary seconds display, complemented by blued steel hands. The dial is signed by Breguet. The watch is encased in an 18 carat engine turned gold case, with a gold cuvette also signed by Breguet, numbered 2.

The movement is not functioning properly; it runs briefly before stopping. The dial has light scuffs and small indentations, with some numerals partially lacking black colour and tarnishing on the hands. The case shows wear, with scuffs and small indentations throughout. It is numbered.
