A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced lever pocket watch, circa 1845-1851. This watch features a mechanical manual winding movement. It has a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, an outer minute railway track with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilt spindle style hands. The gold case back is guilloché with a blank coat of arms in the centre, decorated with floral motifs. The case back is signed with the inscription Remontoir ancre, Ligne droite 32 rubis, Spiral Breguet, Balancier compensateur, Levées visibles. It is hallmarked 18K gold.
