An unusual and extremely luxurious dress watch in the original jeweller’s sales box and with the original 18 carat white gold chain made by Le Petit Fils de L.U. Chopard & Cie S.A. in Meyrin near Genève, Switzerland, circa 1950. This watch has a super thin case crafted from 18 carat white gold, which is completely set with brilliant cut diamonds on the face and has a plain back lid. The silvered dial has baton hour indexes and steel filigree hands. The movement features a fine Geneva lever escapement and Geneva striping decoration.
The case, movement and dial are signed.

Chopard
The company’s founder, Louis-Ulysse Chopard, established his first high precision watch manufactory in Sonvilier in 1860. However, the company relocated its operations to Geneva in 1937. Today, Chopard’s manufacturing activities are centred in three facilities in Switzerland:
–
Meyrin near Geneva: This location serves as the company headquarters and handles case production, jewellery making and final assembly.
–
Fleurier: This facility, known as Chopard Manufacture, was founded in 1996 and specializes in producing high end L.U.C watch movements.
–
Fleurier Ebauches: A nearby site also in Fleurier for the production of movements for other, non L.U.C., collections.
