Pocket watch with split seconds chronograph

A very heavy gold full hunter cased watch with split seconds chronograph, made by Henri Jacot, circa 1870. The numbered case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and is engine turned on both sides. The original enamel dial features Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and filigree steel hands. The numbered and glazed movement is fitted with a very fine anker chronometer escapement, a chronometer balance, a split seconds chronograph and screwed gold chatons.
The dial and movement are signed.
