A very fine American, 18k gold minute repeating, keyless pocket watch, circa 1889.
A solid, polished case, hinged gold cuvette with engraved dedication. White enamel dial with painted Breguet numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel Breguet hands. A nickel-silver movement, Geneva striping decoration, 29 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed.
