A fine and unusual French, 18k gold and blue enamel pocket watch in the form of a lyre, circa 1890. The front engraved and decorated in blue enamel to represent a lyre, the reverse en suite, and a small locket integrated into the case back. White enamel dial, black painted Roman indexes, outer minute track. Blued steel spade hands. A rhodium-plated, ten jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut monometallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Case numbered.
