A very fine Danish, 18K pink gold keyless pocket watch, circa 1880. With Jûrgensen’s patent bow hand setting, patented in 1867. A polished case, the front monogrammed MCS and the back engraved 1883. White enamel dial with black radial Roman numerals, outer minutes. Blued steel Breguet hands. Movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement with an elongated fork, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, large index regulator with an engraved scale on the centre bridge. Case, dial, and movement signed.
