A very fine and rare Swiss, 18K yellow gold keyless chronometer Royal pocket watch, circa 1910. A solid, engine-turned case, hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with gold radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, 19 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
