A very fine and interesting Swiss, keyless, 18K yellow gold Art Nouveau pendant watch with case decoration by G. Mantz, circa 1910. Made for J. J. Freeman & Co., Toledo, Ohio. A solid case, box-hinged, chased, bezel with foliate pattern and case back depicting Venus, Roman goddess of love and beauty, surrounded by cherubs and birds, hinged gold cuvette with peripheral inscription and dedication dated 1910.

White enamel dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track with 5-minute gold markers. Yellow gold Louis XVI hands. A nickel-silver movement, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement à moustache, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator with graduations engraved on the centre bridge, wolf’s tooth winding wheels. Dial, case and movement signed.
