A very fine English, 18K gold, royal blue enamel and pearl-set pocket watch, circa 1790. Case with split pearl-set bezels, the back overlaid with blue translucent enamel over engine-turning. White enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold arrow hands. A hinged gilt brass movement, full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass foliate chased and engraved English cock with diamond end-stone, silver regulation dial. Movement signed.
