An American 18K gold keyless hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, Circa 1887. A polished front cover with engraved initials ROB, button at 12 o’clock for a chronograph. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer Arabic fifths of a second chronograph division, inner minute track and blued steel Breguet hands.
A nickel movement, 3/4-plate, Geneva striping decoration, straight-line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, lever-set, and cam micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
