A Swiss yellow gold five pound coin watch, circa 1990. This watch features a mechanical jewelled movement with a straight line lever escapement, a monometallic balance with five adjustments, and a self compensating flat balance spring. The dial is gilt champagne coloured, displaying Roman numerals, baton indexes, an outer minute track, and baton hands. It is housed in an 18k yellow gold circular case with a snap on back, cleverly concealed within a five pound coin. The case has a hinged back and cuvette, and the coin cover is activated through the case band at the 2 o’clock position. Case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The movement is in good working order. The coin is in excellent overall condition for its age, showing only minor signs of wear on the surface; however, the engraving and milling remain crisp. The watch is also in very good overall condition, although there is a minor ding on the inside of the hinged back.
