Gold hunting cased pocket watch
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased pocket watch, made by Omega, dating from the early 20th century. It features a plain, round, three body solid gold case with a spring loaded front cover. The white enamelled dial shows black Roman numerals for the morning hours, an inner ring of red Arabic numerals for the afternoon hours (13-24), and a railway minute track. It has a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and Breguet style hands. The movement is a hand wound mechanical calibre with a crown set mechanism and lever escapement. The inner dust cover (cuvette) is engraved with the retailer’s mark: à la pomme d’or 54 boulevard Sébastopol PARIS. The watch comes with an original 18 carat pink gold chain with fancy links and a lobster clasp.
