Gold open faced lever watch
–
A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, made by Zenith, circa 1920. This watch features a handwound mechanical movement with a lever escapement, consistent with Zenith’s high production standards in the early 20th century. The gilt dial displays Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The round 18 carat yellow gold case is of one piece construction, a characteristic feature of gousset watches of the period. The case is fitted without a double cuvette. The dial and movement are signed by Zenith.
