Gold and enamel unsigned open faced watch

A Swiss yellow gold and enamel open faced quarter repeating pocket watch with automata, circa 1815. The watch features a finely chased gilt key winding mechanical movement with verge escapement, spiral balance and gong striking. It has a deep translucent blue enamel dial, centred with a white enamel dial for hours and minutes. On either side are two applied automata, representing an Indian man and woman, each striking a bell with a hammer (Martin-Martine type). The hinged 18 carat yellow gold case is reverse chased with decoration on the lower part, and includes a fluted caseband and gilded metal bowl. The watch is equipped with a pendant striking mechanism.
