An extremely rare and extra flat Swiss 9 carat white gold open faced lever pocket watch, the Rolex Imperial Prince Observatory chronometer, circa 1940. Movement with an ultra flat caliber, inscribed Observatory Quality, a special bridge to protect the balance wheel inscribed Rolex Patent Cap. 
A plain case. Two-tone platina dial, decentralized time indication with radial Breguet style hours, an outer minute track and spade hands, subsidiary seconds in the lower half.
Dial signed, case and movement signed and numbered.
