Brass Lever Chronometer by Longines

A fine Swiss, 36-hour going, keyless, marine lever chronometer with power reserve indication, in a mahogany deck box, circa 1945. A gimballed and weighted brass case threaded glazed bezel with a reeded edge. Glazed cover over the movement. Matte silver dial, radial Arabic hour numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock with Arabic 10-second numerals, power reserve indication below 12. Blued steel spade hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to three positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, patented cam-type micrometre regulator. Dial and movement signed.
