A rare deck chronometer with pivoted detent escapement for the Imperial Austrian Navy – with original mahogany box, circa 1900. Silver case with engine-turned-tiered design and silvered dial featuring radial Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds, and blued spade hands. The 4/5 plate movement is frosted and gilt with a gold screw compensation balance.
