Platinum open faced keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss extra flat platinum open faced keyless lever pocket watch with a diamond set bezel, made by Omega for the French market, circa 1930. It has a high grade mechanical crown winding movement with a Swiss lever escapement, signed Omega. The matte silver dial features black Arabic numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and modern style hands in blued steel. It is signed Omega and features the Fab. Suisse designation. The timepiece is housed in an exceptionally slim round platinum open faced French crafted case with a plain, polished, unsigned clipped reverse back cover, a delicately fluted winding crown, a sturdy geometric suspension bow, and a bezel set with a continuous row of cut diamonds. The crystal glass is slightly damaged on the rim.
