Watch in the style of Cartier watches
–
An extra flat precision hunter case watch in the style of Cartier watches, possibly made by Max Zéligson’s Fabrique La Rochette in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, circa 1920. The numbered super flat and solid full hunter case, with all three lids crafted from gold, features a very thin coined band. The extremely beautiful two tone engine turned dial features black Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and Breguet steel hands. The movement features a precision lever escapement of excellent quality, screwed gold chatons and Geneva striping decoration.
The dial, cuvette and movement are signed.

La Rochette
The exact manufacturer of “La Rochette” pocket watches is not clearly defined, as the name seems to be a brand rather than a specific company. While some watches are labeled “Swiss made,” others have also been associated with Russia. The name “La Rochette” likely indicates a brand that was produced in Switzerland and potentially other locations, making it difficult to attribute a single maker.

Signed: La Rochette (dial and cuvette) La Rochette, Swiss made (movement)
